Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart claims teammate Sergio Aguero is even better than Barcelona star Lionel Messi.
Hart had the game of his life in City’s recent 1-0 Champions League defeat at the Camp Nou, making a string of magnificent saves to keep Barca’s star-studded forward line at bay, but Hart believes stopping Aguero in training is an even harder job.
“Messi is absolutely awesome but I’m backing Sergio because he’s my player,” the England ‘keeper told a Press conference ahead of his country’s Euro 2016 qualifier with Lithuania at Wembley.
“Just from working with him on a daily basis and, from what I’ve seen this season, the best is probably Aguero. He just knows how to score goals.
“We’ve got a great team but he excites you most days in training and he’s also got the ability to do it on the day.
“He has the skill to turn a long clearance into a goal because he can take it round five people and score. It’s a great thing to have and he’s a very natural player.
“In a one-on-one situation he doesn’t complicate things and takes that option to score.”
