Mario ‘not worried’ over Atletico

Atletico Madrid midfielder Mario Suarez says he is not worried about Los Rojiblancos’ dip in form and their lack of goals lately.

Diego Simeone’s men go into their Champions League encounter with Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday knowing they must overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg, but Mario insists the goals will start to flow again.

“We are not worried because all our forwards are internationals who sooner or later will start to score,” he told a Press conference.

“All they need is to get one goal and that means it will move us closer to what we will be trying to do.

“Bayer have the advantage, which obliges us to score first, but we aim to make it into the quarter-finals by giving 100 per cent and showing our best side.

“The Coach and his staff have told us exactly what we have to do. We’ve had time to prepare for this game and above everything we have to be competitive and intense.

“We are at the Calderon in front of our own fans and must be at our best to reach the next round.”
