Valencia are interested in making an offer for Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao this summer.
According to The Sun, the Colombian international’s agent Jorge Mendes is due to hold talks with the United hierarchy this week to discuss whether they want to take up their option to sign him on a permanent basis.
Falcao arrived at Old Trafford on loan from Monaco at the start of this season but has so far struggled in England, where he has scored just four times in all competitions, and Valencia are weighing up a move for the 29-year-old if he has no future with United.
Should United not wish to sign him, Valencia could make their move having been given a massive cash injection following Singapore businessman Peter Lim’s takeover of the club.
However, Monaco rate Falcao at around €55m, a figure that could prove a major stumbling block for the player to return to La Liga after his successful spell with Atletico Madrid.
