Neymar has admitted that he ‘disliked’ being substituted during Barcelona’s 5-0 victory over Levante on Sunday.
The Brazilian regained his scoring touch against the Valencians, having missed a penalty at Athletic Bilbao a week earlier, but was replaced by Luis Suarez just after the hour mark.
Although the forward was unhappy not to complete the match, he was nonetheless delighted with Barca’s recent surge in form ahead of the season’s business end.
“We’re on the right track,” Neymar told reporters afterwards.
“We must continue trying to play our game and do the best we can. The whole team must be congratulated.
“I couldn’t score [against Athletic] the other week, but nothing happened.
“I don’t like leaving the pitch. We’d all love to play every minute.
“[Messi’s] spectacular. He’s my friend both on and off the pitch.”
