Report: Atleti to consider Miranda offers

Atletico Madrid are willing to listen to offers for centre-back Joao Miranda this summer, reports in Spain have suggested.

Marca claims that should the champions receive an offer acceptable to them, and the player is happy as well, he would be allowed to leave Vicente Calderon.

Miranda will be 31 later this year and could look for one final big move before he draws his career to an end, while Atletico are ready to put their faith in youngster Jose Gimenez.

The Brazilian was the subject of interest in the summer of 2013 but Atleti, faced with losing Thibaut Courtois, Filipe Luis and Diego Costa, refused to discuss his departure.

But as of this summer he will be in the last 12 months of his deal, which contains a €30m release clause.

Marca say Atletico would listen to offers in the region of €20m for the player, who holds dual nationality from his long tenure in Spain, and Manchester United could resurrect their interest from summer 2014.
