Madrid tracking Spurs hotshot Kane?

Real Madrid have watched Tottenham striker Harry Kane three times this season, according to the English Press.

The 21-year-old has been a revelation in 2014-15, scoring 22 goals in all competitions, including two a piece against Spurs’ London rivals Chelsea and, most recently, Arsenal in the Premier League.

Now, the London Evening Standard are reporting that Los Blancos scouts have travelled to England on three occasions with the sole intention of seeing Kane in action.

However, the newspaper adds that the European champions do not plan to make an offer for the attacker any time soon but are understood to have been impressed by his performances.

Kane recently signed a new contract with Tottenham, bringing him into line with some of the side’s better-paid players, and insisted his future laid at White Hart Lane.

“I don’t see why not. Tottenham are a great club on the rise. I hope we get better and I’d love to stay here for as long as possible,” he was quoted as saying by the outlet.

“If I’m still here in 10 years, I’d be over the moon. A lot of players today, when they do well, they end up going to another club or moving abroad.

“It depends on the situation at the time but at the moment, I’m looking to be a Tottenham player for many years.”

If Kane were to join Madrid, he would become the third player after Luka Modric and Gareth Bale to make the switch to the Spanish capital since 2012.
