Barcelona Vice-President Javier Faus maintains the truth will eventually emerge over Neymar’s transfer to the club.
Club President Josep Maria Bartomeu was this week charged with tax fraud, along with the club, over the Brazilian’s signing from Santos in June 2013.
Speaking during the presentation of a new advertising campaign featuring Barca and Qatar Airways, Faus [pictured, far right] was questioned over the current legal situation at the club.
“We’ve been the leading club in the world for the past 10 years due to the efforts of the various Presidents, Coaches and players we’ve had. When you’ve had so much success it’s normal some people don’t like it,” he insisted.
“In the end, regarding these matters, the truth will end up coming out. We are going to keep defending our innocence because we continue to think we did things right concerning Neymar’s signing.
“We are very happy with what the team has done over the past five years and with the economic situation in which we find ourselves.”
