Stoke City eye Barca pair

Stoke City are believed to be interested in taking Barcelona pair Adama Traore and Sandro Ramirez to the Britannia Stadium.

According to Sport, boss Mark Hughes watched Barca B’s game against Osasuna at the Mini Estadi over the weekend and was accompanied by a representative from the Catalan giants, leading to speculation he could be set to make an offer for the promising 19-year-olds.

Traore is a right-winger while Ramirez, who had a spell in the Barcelona first team earlier this season, is an out-and-out striker who has scored 10 goals in 43 appearances for the second string.

“These are two options for the future and maybe we can do something. At the moment we are looking,” former Barca player Hughes told RAC1.

However, Sandro told reporters after the match that the only thing he is thinking of right now is Barcelona.

“I have a contract here and intend to honour it and give everything. I promised at the beginning of the season that my head was here,” he said.
