Neymar’s agent claims that Barcelona want to tie down the Brazilian star with the offer of a new contract until June 2020.
The player penned a five-year deal with the Catalans after joining from Santos in June 2013 and any extension would add a further two years to his existing agreement.
“Of course Barcelona want to extend Neymar’s contract. Until 2020, that’s right,” said Wagner Ribero at a Press conference given at the opening of the Neymar Jr. Institute, an organisation that hopes to help underprivileged kids in the city of Praia Grande.
Neymar, without making reference to a possible new deal at the Camp Nou, said he was “happy” at the club and hoped to continue playing for the Blaugrana for a long time.
