Djukic eyes perfect Cordoba chance

Miroslav Djukic says the first-leg Copa del Rey clash with Granada is a perfect chance for his players to regain their confidence.

The Cordoba boss has seen his team struggle since taking over the reins at the Nuevo Arcangel from Albert Ferrer, with Los Califas bottom of the Primera having failed to register a single victory this season.

However, the Serbian believes the Cup offers his players the prospect of putting their League struggles firmly behind them and playing without the pressure of needing points.

“This is an opportunity to do well and convince the fans that there is still everything to play for,” Djukic told a Press conference.

“It is a perfect situation against a Primera rival to gain some much-needed confidence. I’m not going to say who will play but things start to happen when you are winning games.

“The fact we’ve not been winning bothers us but we are working well and the morale is good.

“I don’t see anyone feeling sorry for themselves, but it’s not a picnic we are having this season and we want to reverse the situation.

“Both teams will want to win on Wednesday and we’ll be going out there without any anxiety. I won’t allow it.

“If you go out feeling that way then you’ve already lost the game,” he explained.
