Ancelotti: Zidane helping the kids

Carlo Ancelotti praised Zinedine Zidane for his 'very good' work with Real Madrid's young players following the 5-0 demolition of Cornella in the Copa del Rey.

Six home-grown talents featured during Los Blancos' win on Tuesday, and the Coach acknowledged the impact made by the legendary Frenchman – who took charge of the club's B team in June – on the progress of his young guns.

"We completed the match with six home-grown players, and that's good for the club," he remarked after the match.

"Zizou's work has been very good, he has charisma, the players listen to him and he's growing [as a Coach].

"We're going to profit from a night like this. I think players like Llorente and Medran are ready [for the first team]. Gradually, his work [with the youngsters] will prove important."

Ancelotti was then faced with more questions on Madrid's record-breaking winning streak, which was extended to 17 matches against the third-tier outfit.

"We never thought about the record beforehand. We'll now continue and prepare for an important game against Celta," he added.

"It's our goal [to win the match], and then we'll see what happens. We're happy with this run."
