Atletico Madrid defender Jose Maria Gimenez has been discharged from hospital after fears of a potential head injury were allayed.
The Uruguayan collided with an opponent during his side's 2-0 victory over Deportivo on Sunday and was subsequently admitted to the FREMAP Clinic in Majadahonda as a precaution.
Following neurological examinations and a CT scan, Gimenez was then transferred to the Monteprincipe University Hospital, where he spent the night under observation.
The 19-year-old's tests came back positive and he was released from hospital on Monday morning, although he is unlikely to feature in Atleti's Copa del Rey tie with L'Hospitalet on Wednesday.
