Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has revealed that Bayern Munich are hoping to emulate Barcelona’s recent string of triumphs in the Champions League.
The Catalan giants enjoyed a period of dominance under Pep Guardiola, winning Europe's premier club competition twice, and the CEO of the Bavarians is keen to see the club use their Coach’s previous employers as a benchmark for European success.
"I'd like to win another Champions League," the former Germany striker told Bild.
"Our model has always been Barcelona because they won it several times within the space of a few years.
"My dream is to shorten the cycle between two of our Champions League triumphs.
"We finished top [of our Champions League group], but we can't just settle for that.
"We will continue to invest in improving the stadium, for example by increasing its capacity, and of course the quality of the team."
