Manchester United winger Angel di Maria has insisted that he harbours no regrets about leaving Real Madrid this summer.
The Argentina international sealed a British-record £59.7m switch to Old Trafford at the end of August, and he believes that he was right to seek a new challenge after a trophy-laden four years in the Spanish capital.
“I am very happy in Manchester, although [English football] is very different to Spanish football,” he told Telefoot.
“I have no regrets about leaving Real Madrid. I won everything I wanted with them – La Liga, Champions League and the Copa del Rey.”
Di Maria also revealed how he was disappointed to see a potential move to Paris Saint-Germain collapse on financial grounds and refused to rule out a future spell at the Parc des Princes.
“PSG had money problems and couldn't buy players. That's the main reason I didn't go there. Playing in the French League appeals to a lot of players,” he added.
“There were a lot of clubs interested in me, including Monaco. But Manchester United appeared and [their interest] didn't waver. They really wanted me and it happened.
“I'm now in England, but you never know, as there’s a lot of movement in football. You can never predict where you play.
“It could have been a good experience for me to go to Paris. I know I'm still young, so maybe I'll join PSG one day. I don't know how it'll end.”
