Ramos: Ronaldinho was unstoppable

Sergio Ramos has said former Barcelona forward Ronaldinho was unstoppable when he was playing at his best.

Ramos spoke to one of the sponsors of the Spain squad prior to La Roja’s game against Belarus on Saturday night.

He revealed that he watches back every match in an effort to correct any mistakes made, and that his family are his harshest critics.

“I almost always watch the matches to see any mistakes and review them,” he said, AS reports.

“Even if I got a hat-trick, my family’s two words would be ‘very good.’ They don’t praise me too much.

“Sometimes their silence is what hurts more than anything else. The day after a match I call my father or my brother and we exchange views.”

On the most dangerous players Ramos has played against he named three, all former Barca forwards.

“There’ve been many. Ronaldinho was virtually unstoppable at his best, as a forward or a playmaker,” he recalled.

“Samuel Eto’o, on his day, or Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a striker who was a lot of trouble with his size, holds the ball up well, plays great with his back to goal and was fast.”
