Pep: I won’t coach Barca again

Pep Guardiola has conceded in an interview with Ara that it is highly unlikely he will ever coach Barcelona again.

The Bayern Munich boss was in Barcelona to vote in the referendum over Catalonia’s future and revealed he has no intention of ever returning to the Camp Nou, at least on the bench.

“In principle, as a Coach it is a closed era. I think that in life there are cycles and mine here is over,” declared Guardiola, who admitted that someday he could return to live in the city.

“My wife has a job here in Barcelona so we could end up living back here. When? I don’t know,” he admitted.

Guardiola was in charge at Barca for four years between 2008 and 2012, during which time he won 14 trophies to become the most successful Coach in the club’s history.

However, after leaving to take a one-year sabbatical in New York, he agreed to take over the Bundesliga giants before the start of the 2013-14 season.
