Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin will be a January target for Serie A champions Juventus, reports in Spain say.
AS cite reports from Italy’s Sportmediaset, who claim Juve have picked out Godin as the answer to what are described as long-running defensive problems.
Godin has been wanted by some of Europe’s biggest clubs, with Bayern Munich expressing interest this summer.
The Uruguay international has a contract until 2018 with Atletico and the club have said any interested party have to meet his €36m release clause.
Juventus are said to have considered Benfica’s Luisao as well, but have now turned to Godin.
It’s not thought that either Godin or Atletico will be interested in the transfer, however.
