Valencia defender Antonio Barragan has revealed Coach Nuno Santo asks a lot of his players, but he is pleased to have his confidence.
Los Che on Saturday beat champions Atletico Madrid to maintain their unbeaten start to the season, taking 17 points from a possible 21.
“In these games and all game we have to give 120%. That’s what the Coach asks,” Barragan said, according to Super Deporte.
“The Coach is very demanding and the truth is we try to give our best in every game. This has gone very well.
“The coaching staff are doing great and transmit things very clearly. We understand what they want and we have to recognise their work.
“The fans are always with us too and it’s a joy to play in front of them.
“I’m personally very happy for the confidence the Coach is showing in me. I hope I can be here a long time.
“Contracts take time and my representative is leading the process. When all is done I’ll sign. I want to stay here and enjoy these fans and this team for many years.”
