Sergi Roberto has signed a new contract with Barcelona, the midfielder now tied to the club until 2019.
AS reports Sergi’s escape clause has been set at €30m and could be increased again to €40m.
Sergi said after putting pen-to-paper that he is excited to extend his stay at Camp Nou, and equally enthusiastic about the short-term under Luis Enrique.
“I’ve been at Barca for eight years and to renew is a dream come true,” he added.
“We’ll have a nice year, hopefully with a lot of trophies, and with hard work I hope I can help the team as much as possible, whether that’s as a starter or as a substitute or even without being summoned.
“Luis Enrique says he needs all the players to be at their fullest.”
