Valencia Coach Nuno Santos has called on his team to improve despite a 3-1 win over Espanyol on Sunday night.
Goals from Pablo Piatti, Dani Parejo and Paco Alcacer gave Los Che a home win with Sergio Garcia converting a late consolation penalty.
Nuno said after the match that while he was generally pleased, he feels there is still a lot to work on if Valencia’s ambitions are to be realised.
“We controlled the first half with confidence so we’re happy, but there are some details we must fix,” the Coach said, according to AS.
“We have to maintain pressure and win the ball back further away from our area.
“To be in the Champions League you have to earn a lot of points. That’s our goal and that’s what we’re trying to do.”
