Madrid lining up Van Persie?

Real Madrid are lining up a €25m January bid for Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie, reports the Express.

Los Blancos brought in Javier Hernandez from United in the summer transfer window as back-up to Karim Benzema, but FIFA agent Francois Gallardo believes Van Persie could also be brought in come the next transfer window.

According to Gallardo, the Spanish giants have already identified the Dutch international as their top priority and are confident he can be prised away from Old Trafford after the arrival of Radamel Falcao.

Even so, Van Persie has always stated his desire to remain with the Red Devils and says he is looking forward to linking up with United’s new arrivals.

“I can't wait to go and train and play with the world class players we have signed.

“That feeling, that we are going to perform well, has only got stronger after the buying of players over the last few weeks.

“I find it very exciting, the arrival of all these new players. For me personally, it’s brilliant to go and play with some of the best players in the world.

“It’s great that I can go and train and play with them every day,” he is quoted as saying.
