Reports in the British Press claim Serie A champions Juventus are chasing Manchester United’s Spain international Juan Mata.
It’s suggested that Juve will look to exploit the squad overhaul at Old Trafford that has seen the arrival of Angel Di Maria from Real Madrid and Radamel Falcao from Monaco.
The new signings threaten Mata’s place under Louis van Gaal and a loan move to Turin has been mooted for the January window.
United aren’t in Europe this season so Mata would be able to participate in the Champions League or, should Juventus be eliminated from the group stage, the Europa League.
