Angel Di Maria is today expected in Manchester to complete his move from Real Madrid to Manchester United.
Marca claims the Premier League side will pay €90m to sign the Argentina international, just short of the €96m Madrid paid to United in 2009 for Cristiano Ronaldo.
The publication adds that the deal is essentially completed and is only lacking confirmation from the clubs.
Di Maria has to pass a medical and sign the contract on a move that is made up of an initial €75m fee and €15m depending on bonuses such as goals scored and trophies won.
Marca add that Di Maria is sure to meet the first €5m bonus and the second €5m bonus is possible, although the third €5m, which relates to trophies, is less certain.
The move will be Madrid’s biggest-ever sale. Di Maria’s contract will call for him to receive €8m-a-year net, a total of €40m over the duration of the contract.
