Karim Benzema’s new Real Madrid contract will see the France international earn a reported €7m-a-year.
Mundo Deportivo claim Benzema originally asked for €9m-per-season but was negotiated down by Los Blancos on a contract that runs until 2019.
Benzema’s previous deal lasted until next summer and MD add that he was considering leaving Santiago Bernabeu out of concern he wasn’t valued as highly as he felt he should have been, but his new deal has put paid to those worries.
