Navas’ future in limbo

Keylor Navas hopes to complete his move to Real Madrid by August 1, but Los Blancos first have to sell either Diego Lopez or Iker Casillas.

The Costa Rica goalkeeper has an agreement in principle with the European champions, but according to AS, has been left in limbo.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men want to get the Costa Rica international in training as soon as possible, with Karim Benzema, Raphael Varane and James Rodriguez returning to Valdebebas on Friday.

The club is trying to get the shot-stopper to join them, but before they can do that, one of their current goalkeepers has to go.

Casillas has been linked with Arsenal in the past, but a switch to north London looks unlikely now they have signed Davide Ospina from Nice.

Diego Lopez meanwhile, was thought to be of interest to Monaco, but the veteran quashed any thought of joining them during negotiations for James.
