Brazil cracked, says Low

Germany Coach Joachim Low believes Brazil were in shock for part of their World Cup semi-final after his side claimed a 7-1 win over the hosts.

Low said after the match that his side exploited the situation as Brazil froze, with Germany going five goals clear before half-time.

“Scoring three in four minutes, the hosts were in shock,” the BBC reports Low as saying.

“We were extremely cool and realised they were cracking up, and we took advantage of that.

“We had a clear, persistent game-plan and if we were courageous and believed in our own strengths, we would win this match.

“That the result would be so emphatic was not to be expected.”

Germany will play either the Netherlands or Argentina in Sunday’s final, with the sides to meet later tonight.
