Barcelona and Manchester United will fight it out for Mats Hummels’ signature, according to reports in the British Press.
The Daily Express claim this morning that the Blaugrana have joined the race to get the Borussia Dortmund defender after impressing at the World Cup.
The centre-back has netted twice to lead Die Mannschaft into the semi-finals, and as such has added the Camp Nou outfit to his suitors.
The Premier League side were thought to be in pole position to land Hummels, but with Barca’s defensive woes becoming more than apparent last season, sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta will no doubt be looking for a new defender.
The 25-year-old could cost upwards of €30m.
