Ronaldo sure of Brazil-Argentina final

Former Brazil striker Ronaldo expects his country to face Argentina in the World Cup final and praised compatriot Neymar.

Ronaldo appeared before the Press at a FIFA event to discuss the World Cup fan zones and Marca reports the ex-Barcelona and Real Madrid forward as predicting an all-South American final.

“Not only think but I’m pretty sure that the final will be Brazil-Argentina,” he said.

“It will be a dream…it’ll be a dream if we win. If we lose it will be a nightmare. So hopefully Argentina lose before then.”

Ronaldo added that Chile, Brazil’s Round of 16 opponents, will be concerned about facing the hosts.

“My opinion is that Chile are infinitely more concerned that the Brazil team, not only for the football but the record,” he argued.

He also pointed to Neymar as the tournament’s best player so far, more so than Argentina’s Lionel Messi.

“Neymar and Messi are being decisive,” he said.

“Neymar is playing a lot. Messi is growing in the World Cup but Neymar, for me, has been the standout of the World Cup.”
