Barcelona want Liverpool to accept a cash-plus-player offer for Luis Suarez, picking from Alexis Sanchez, Pedro, Alex Song and Cristian Tello.
Marca claim that Barca want to bring down Suarez’s €87.5m release clause and hope to do so with the inclusion of one of the four players.
Barca are willing to go as high as €60m in the money on offer and would accept losing an important player such as Pedro if it means getting Suarez in return.
The club are now waiting to discover how Liverpool value the players mentioned and if the proposal would be acceptable to the Merseyside club.
Talks are on-going between Barca and the Reds, with the Catalans now the only suitors for Suarez after Real Madrid backed out, put off by the furore surrounding Suarez and the biting incident with Giorgio Chiellini.
Barca would have no problem paying Suarez’s €10m salary and are willing to incur the extra expense to get the former Ajax forward.
Suarez is understood to be ready to accept Barca’s terms and he too is waiting on Liverpool to reach an agreement with Barca.
