Ander Herrera will join Manchester United this summer, a year after the club attempted to sign him first time around.
The Premier League side were heavily linked with the Athletic Bilbao midfielder last year, but categorically failed to land their man in a series of ham-fisted negotiations.
With then boss David Moyes now gone, Louis van Gaal has stepped in, and seems to have steadied the Red Devils ship.
As such, Herrera is much keener to go to the north-west, and will agree to terms before the start of July.
Manchester United have offered the youngster’s release clause of €36m, but want to get the deal done swiftly before that rises to €40m on July 1.
