Man Utd to make Khedira move

Manchester United will make a move for Sami Khedira after Real Madrid told their midfielder he was surplus to requirements.

El Confidencial report that Carlo Ancelotti has explained to the Germany international that he is no longer needed at Santiago Bernabeu, and will look to cash-in on the 27-year-old this summer.

The former Stuttgart man missed the majority of last season with a knee injury, but his absence was rarely felt with Angel Di Maria moving back into midfield and flourishing.

As such, Los Blancos are happy to let Khedira go, and will be the subject of a €20m move from Louis van Gaal’s men, according to the Daily Express.

The Old Trafford outfit are keen to add some quality to their midfield, but Arsenal are also thought to be interested.
