Zamorano on Vidal & Bravo

Former Chile international Ivan Zamorano has shared his thoughts on Arturo Vidal and Claudio Bravo, respective targets of Real Madrid and Barcelona.

AS reports the former Madrid striker, who played in Italy for a significant part of his career, as rating both of his compatriots highly.

“Six months ago Florentino Perez asked me about Vidal,” Zamorano revealed. “I told him to sign him with his eyes closed.

“He’s an extraordinary player and would be very good at Madrid. Vidal can play anywhere in the world.

“He’s triumphed in the most demanding football, Italian, and would fit in perfectly here.

“Bravo is happy at La Real but if there is the possibility to play for Barca I think you have to take it.

“He has the quality and leadership for Luis Enrique to fit perfectly into the project.”

Zamorano’s Chile will be in opposition to Spain in the World Cup, as part of a competitive Group B with the Netherlands and Australia.

“We have a good team. I think we’ve worked very well. There are a lot of guys succeeding in very competitive Leagues and that makes us strong as a team,” Zamorano said.

“I hope we do well and I believe that Brazil will host a very entertaining World Cup. Hopefully Chile will be among the surprises.

“90% of the players are abroad. That means Chile is ready to go and win.

“We’re looking good. Expectations have been generated with the players and staff and we hope to go as far as possible in the World Cup.”
