Frank Ribery has officially been ruled out of this summer’s World Cup in Brazil.
It appeared that the Bayern Munich man was set to line-up in France’s squad for the tournament despite his omission from Les Bleus two warm-up matches to date, against Norway and Paraguay.
However, he aggravated a back injury during a training session earlier this week and has been a doubt ever since. Today, he confirmed himself that he will miss World football’s most prestigious tournament.
Midfielder Clermont Grenier is also out after picking up an injury during training, meaning Morgan Schneiderlin and Remy Cabella are both drafted into Coach Didier Deschamps’ 23-man squad.
