Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has said Cesc Fabregas wants to leave Barcelona and confirmed the Blues’ interest in the midfielder.
AS reports Mourinho speaking in Belgium at an event held by Yahoo during which the subject of Chelsea’s reported approach for Cesc was raised.
“I think he wants to leave Barca and is highly motivated over the idea of returning to England,” the former Real Madrid boss said.
“That seems clear. If he signs with us or another team isn’t a question for today, or tomorrow, or before the World Cup.
“We are interested and we’ll see how the situation develops.”
