Benzema wants six trophy haul

Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema is targeting a six-trophy haul for his team when next season gets underway.

Los Blancos secured two titles during Coach Carlo Ancelotti’s first season in charge at Santiago Bernabeu – the Copa Del Rey and a historic tenth Champions League title for the club.

Now, the French international wants his team to do even better next term, starting with the Spanish and European Super Cups.

“I want to win everything,” Benzema said to Marca. “That is what Madrid are obliged to do. We will work to win another treble and we want to win the six titles [we are competing for].

“We have the World Club Championship, the Spanish Super Cup, the European Super Cup, the League, the Champions League again and the Copa Del Rey.

“We need to win them all. We can do it because we are a great team.

“I came to Madrid to win La Decima. I dreamed about that cup for my whole life and I am very proud. I won’t forget it.

“Now I have the World Cup, but what you have achieved previously will always be there in a footballer’s career.”
