Moreno only thinking of Spain

Liverpool target Alberto Moreno has said his focus is only on Spain and the World Cup, not his club future.

It was reported yesterday that the Reds had made an offer to Sevilla for the left-back but speaking at a Press conference prior to Spain’s game against Bolivia, Moreno said La Roja had his attention.

“I have no mind for anything other than the national team,” Marca reports Moreno as saying.

“My agent is responsible for everything else.

“I have the opportunity to go to the World Cup, which isn’t something that happens every day.”

Moreno, who was joined in front of reporters by Pepe Reina, added that he is looking forward to playing at his home ground, Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, when La Roja meet their South American opponents tonight.

“There’s nothing nicer than coming home to your stadium and with the Spain team,” he said.

“I’m very happy. I have a few tickets divided among my family.”

Moreno was asked what it was like being in close quarters with Jordi Alba, his rival for the left-back spot, and he replied that they were getting along fine.

“I’ve gotten to know Jordi in this camp and we have hit it off well,” he said of the Barcelona man.

“He’s a great guy and we have spent a lot of time together.”
