Liverpool have made a €20m approach for Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno, reports in Spain have claimed.
AS says the Premier League runners-up have lodged the bid for the Spain man and will send Suso to Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in return.
Sevilla are understood to be braced for Moreno’s departure and turned down a €14.5m offer from Rafael Benitez’s Napoli in the winter transfer window.
Moreno has instructed his agent that Real Madrid would be his first-choice destination but with Los Blancos yet to put any money on the table, he is open to the move to England.
Liverpool have made their offer now as they are concerned a good showing for Moreno at the World Cup will drive up the price.
Should the 21-year-old make the move to Anfield, he would be reunited with Luis Alberto, who transferred to Merseyside last summer.
