Barcelona’s Javier Mascherano is being linked with a return to former club Liverpool.
According to English media sources, the Argentine’s days at Camp Nou are numbered and the Blaugrana are willing to consider offers for the player.
The defensive midfielder is also being linked with the Reds’ Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United, as well as Rafa Benitez’s Napoli.
However, according to the Daily Mirror Mascherano is quoted as saying that he would ‘love’ to return to Anfield. This is as well as stating that ‘for some players, this weekend’s match against Atletico will be their last at Barca.’
According to reports, the 29-year-old would command a fee of around €11m for any interested parties.
