Sergio Ramos was delighted to lift the Copa del Rey again after Real Madrid beat Barcelona on Wednesday.
A late Gareth Bale goal delivered the trophy in a 2-1 win and Ramos admitted the enormity of the fixture had weighed him down.
“It’s a magical day. This game costs a lot and the result comes through sacrifice. It’s taken all year to get here,” AS reports the centre-back as saying.
“A trophy is very important. There was a lot of tension and two great teams. Obviously I’m enjoying this magical evening.
“And now we need to continue like this for the rest of the season.
“Clearly we’re emotional and it reinforces how hard we have worked when you get this reward. But we keep going, with the Champions League next week.”
