Javi Gracia has admitted that it is vital Osasuna get a result from tonight’s game against Almeria.
Gracia takes Osasuna to Andalusia with the sides level on points but his team a place lower down in the table – 19th to Almeria’s 18th.
They are however level on 30 points, the same tally as Real Valladolid, who are a place outside the relegation zone.
Gracia told a pre-match Press conference that Osasuna have to get a result from Juegos Mediterraneos.
“It won’t be easy. Our opponent is in the same mind as we are but I think these direct confrontations are vital to achieve our goal,” Gracia said.
“We need to make the most of all our opportunities and start winning games soon. I don’t want to waste any more opportunities.
“We will use these direct confrontations, particularly this one, to try and reach 33 points and slowly reach the amount required to stay up.
“Matches against Almeria and Valladolid have extra value that can give us options at the end of the season.
“But we can’t fall into the trap of thinking anyone else will help us earn points.
“Personally I have a month-and-a-half to achieve either the greatest happiness or greatest disgust of my life.”
