Barcelona believe they can explain to FIFA the circumstances surrounding the transfers that have led to a transfer ban.
AS reports that Barca are ‘calm’ over the punishment and will use the 90-day appeal period to make their case.
“We are calm and we will give our explanations to FIFA,” a source told AS.
“It is a normal process and we have 90 days to argue and explain why we signed these players.
"Also it's wouldn't have been two years. It would have been two transfer windows."
Barca and the RFEF have been both been punished by the world governing body.
