Bayern Munich have confirmed that Thiago Alcantara will be out for between six to eight weeks.
It was revealed earlier this evening that the midfielder had suffered a partial tear to one of the ligaments in his knee.
However, the Bavarian giants have released a statement confirming that the Spanish youngster will miss a minimum of six weeks – all but ending his season.
There had been worries that the former Barcelona man may be out for the World Cup, but this news has negated those fears. It will though, be a race for fitness for Thiago.
