Contra demands Getafe change

Cosmin Contra has ordered his Getafe side to do better after they fell to another defeat, this time against Villarreal.

El Geta have now gone 15 games without a win and the Coach invited his players to stay at home rather than turn up for training after the 1-0 reverse.

Contra said that the attitude of some of his squad was so poor he’d rather field players from the B team.

“We are in a very complicated situation and we can do no more than work hard,” Contra said at his post-match Press conference.

“The message is clear: Whoever wants to come to training can come but whoever doesn’t can stay at home.

“I’ve said that in the locker room. We can’t go on like this.

“If I have to bring up players from the B team, I will.

“I don’t understand how players of this quality can forget how to play.

“There’s been a lack of attitude. We need to be more aggressive.

“No one wanted the ball. I’m trying to make midfield more secure but everyone wanted to be up-field.

“We couldn’t even do anything from set-pieces. It’s like they forgot everything we worked on in training.”
