Osasuna Coach Javi Gracia believes his side rise to the occasion under pressure and will do so against Rayo Vallecano tonight.
The Pamplona side were beaten by Sevilla in their last outing, a result and performance that disappointed Gracia and left Osasuna in relegation trouble.
But Gracia told his pre-match Press conference that these are the circumstances that get the best from his players.
“When the team has felt the pressure at the bottom, that’s when they’ve really grown,” Gracia told reporters.
“That’s when we’ve improved and done things well.
“We need to remember we are in an extreme situation and a needy situation.
“Maybe we need to feel we’re worse than we are to get good performances. There’s no doubt about our effort but I do think our performances need to improve.”
