Brazil’s technical director Carlos Alberto Parreira believes that Neymar is as good as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Selecao international has come in for some criticism recently, with media outlets in Spain claiming that the youngster has failed to live up to his initial hype.
However, the former national team Coach claims that the Blaugrana man is up there with the game’s very best.
“We always had the confidence that Neymar was a golden boy,” he told Zero Hora.
“We gave him a lot of support. He arrived at the Confederations Cup and blossomed.
“He is so talented, that player who makes the difference.
“He is our big name, not only ours, but throughout world football, right next to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.”
