Iniesta: No stroll for Madrid

Barcelona’s Andres Iniesta has warned Real Madrid it would be foolish to think Sunday’s Clasico will be a walk in the park.

Carlo Ancelotti’s team are favourites for the game at the Bernabeu but the 29-year-old said these are the sorts of games he and his teammates live for.

"We have always had to travel to the Bernabeu to fight for the title,” Iniesta said to the media at a Press conference today.

“This year, if we want to move forward, we have to win. That's all we have in our heads right now, to play a near-perfect game because that is what our rival will demand of us.

“We are in great shape and we're up for it. We must not have any negative thoughts or doubts – such thinking must not exist.

"These are the games that football players like to play in because of everything that they mean and everything that surrounds them.

"We are in the final straight of the season and errors can cost you dearly.

“From now on absolutely everything is vital. To stay in the running for the league title is reason enough to be completely focused on the game this Sunday.

“We are not 20 points behind the leaders, there is not a massive difference in points at all.

“We have to have confidence.

"I would find it hard to believe that there are people in our club who don't believe in us, who doubt we can win at the Bernabeu.

“This team has earned the right to be believed in. We sometimes have the odd bad game, as everybody does. Nobody can think that we'll be a walk in the park for them."
