Denis Suarez feels Andres Iniesta’s Barcelona departure will leave a big void in the dressing room on both a sporting and personal level.
“There is going to be a big gap left to be filled, in football, personal and human terms now our captain has left,” said Barca midfielder Suarez, in comments reported by Marca.
“Andres will be remembered as a legend. In a football sense it is a big vacuum as he was here for a lot of years and leaves an important legacy.
“On a personal level, in the dressing room he is our captain and while someone else will take his place, we wish him all he best as he deserves it.
“I’ve learnt lots of things from him. He is a player who is also in my position and I focused on him in every training session, on each detail, and what he does in games so I can improve.
“I think it will be almost impossible to replace him with another player but that’s what we will have to face,” he acknowledged.
