Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu has heaped on Lionel Messi after the Argentine forward became the club’s all-time leading goalscorer.
The Blaugrana hero netted three goals in their 7-0 win over Osasuna on Sunday to surpass Paulo Alcantara at their top goalscorer in history.
And the Camp Nou outfit’s chief has congratulated Messi, calling the best player in the world today.
“We should all enjoy the best player in the world today,” he posted on several social media outlets.
“He has surpassed another myth, beating Alcantara as the club’s all-time top scorer.
“Congratulations Leo, and thanks!”
