Javi Gracia has called on his Osasuna players to put their heavy defeat by Barcelona behind them for the rest of the season.
Osasuna were on the end of a 7-0 rout, with Lionel Messi claiming a record-breaking hat-trick.
Speaking to reporters after the final whistle, Gracia urged Osasuna to put the result out of mind.
“We tried to do our best and I don’t want this result to weaken the players for the next match,” Gracia said.
“We had a good attitude but Barca had physical, technical and tactical superiority.
“Eventually the score became bad because Barca proved their superiority.
“We wanted to be stronger in midfield and get more players forward.
“In the second half I wanted more strength but with a tired team Barca have taken advantage to keep attacking.”
