Lopez: Madrid ready to fight

Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez says his team are ready to fight Barcelona on all three fronts this season.

Los Blancos are currently top of La Liga, are in the final of the Copa del Rey and are all but through to the Champions League quarter-finals.

They face their Catalan arch-rivals next weekend in a game that could all but put an end to Gerardo Martino’s team’s title hopes.

“They’re three very important points at stake,” Lopez said at a Real Madrid football clinic today.

“But we have a game before that.

“We have to beat Malaga first, maintain our four point lead and then increase it to seven.

“We have to take each game as it comes, that has worked for us and will continue to do so.

“But despite what people say, Barca will be there until the end because they have great players and it won’t be easy for us at all.

“We’re ready to fight them all the way in the league, the Champions League and Copa del Rey.”
